{"id":1355,"date":"2014-06-26T21:09:45","date_gmt":"2014-06-26T21:09:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/piqueoftheweek.wordpress.com\/?p=1355"},"modified":"2014-06-26T21:09:45","modified_gmt":"2014-06-26T21:09:45","slug":"name-the-new-boat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kplma.org\/pique\/2014\/06\/26\/name-the-new-boat\/","title":{"rendered":"Name the Town of Kingston&#8217;s new boat!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kingston&#8217;s Town Administrator wrote yesterday<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>As many of you know, the town is awaiting a new Harbormaster Patrol Boat, which is estimated to arrive around\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\"><span class=\"aQJ\">July 17th<\/span><\/span>, and perhaps sooner. This purchase was authorized at this year&#8217;s special town meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Selectmen have\u00a0offered a &#8220;contest&#8221; to name the boat for the town. \u00a0The person who submits the name chosen will be given a maiden voyage around Kingston Harbor on the boat, along with family and\/or friends to the maximum allowed on the boat.<\/p>\n<p>So, please submit your entries to me with a copy to Laurie, and pass along the info on this contest to others in your department, and\/or\u00a0in the town!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Here are some possibilities from the Local History Room.
