Published by the New England Historic Genealogical Society at the Charge of the Eddy Town-Record Fund, Boston, Mass. 1911. This &#8220;Tan Book&#8221; (as the series was known) is an alphabetical index of births, marriages and deaths in the town of Kingston, Massachusetts from 1726 to 1850. Entries are drawn from town records, church records, gravestone inscriptions and private family records, and arranged alphabetically by family, then given name. [Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/openlibrary.org\/works\/OL7881126W\/Vital_records_of_Kingston_Massachusetts_to_the_year_1850\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OpenLibrary.org<\/a>\u00a0 for this digital copy.]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingstonpubliclibrary.org\/LHR\/histAndList\/ethel%20hobart%20sketch%20entire.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kingston, Massachusetts.<\/a>\u00a0Written by Ethel Hobart and p<\/span>ublished in the <em>New England Magazine<\/em> in July 1905, this short piece was &#8220;copied from the magazine February 12, 1935&#8221; by Emily Fuller Drew.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kplma.org\/pdfs\/story-of-jones-river.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Story of Jones River in Pligrim Plymouth 1620-1726 which in the latter year became Kingston, Massachusetts<\/em><\/a>. Published in 1920 by the Kingston Branch of the Alliance of Unitarian Women, this little volume has text by Sarah Y. Bailey and photographs by Emily F. Drew. Thanks to the <a href=\"https:\/\/jonesriver.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jones River Landing<\/a> for the scan.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/kplma.org\/pdfs\/doc-18-0001-book.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Civic Progress of Kingston<\/em> by Sarah Y. Bailey &amp; <em>A History of Her Industries<\/em> by Emily F. Drew.<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>Subtitled\u00a0<em>Two Hundred Years 1726-1926<\/em>. Published and copyright by the Two Hundredth Anniversary Committee of the Town of Kingston, Massachusetts, these two-volumes-in-one were written by\u00a0Sarah Y. Bailey and Emily F. Drew.\u00a0 Again, thanks to the <a href=\"https:\/\/jonesriver.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jones River Landing<\/a> for the scan.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/kplma.org\/texts\/doc-18-0321-mc26.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laddie: A Christmas Story<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>Written by the first- and second-grade students of the Howland&#8217;s Lane School in 1928,\u00a0<em>Laddie<\/em> was edited by the long-tenured teacher <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingstonpubliclibrary.org\/newsite\/2009\/08\/28\/back-to-school-2\/\">Elspeth Hardy<\/a> and illustrated by Marion Cobb Dries, a KHS graduate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kplma.org\/pique\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/doc-15-0024-tok3.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Kingston&#8217;s Just Right for Your Plant Site,&#8221;<\/a> a 1965 brochure published by the Kingston&#8217;s Industrial Development Commission.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kplma.org\/texts\/doc-16-0013-vf-A.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Historic Village Walking Tour,&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0a brochure created by the Kingston Historical Commission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Sketch of Kingston, Massachusetts, by Rev.
